Description
Even the most careful student can accidentally drop a mirror when experimenting with it. That is why glass mirrors should not be used in class – especially not when working with younger students.
However, topics like reflection and mirror symmetry are taught at a younger age, and we want students to explore these optical effects with their own hands and eyes. That is why we use plastic mirrors with rounded corners. Ciênsação safety mirrors are made of acrylic 'glass', which is relatively(!) hard and scratch resistant. Their size is optimized for children’s hands, and their stiffness allows to bend them slightly.
Experiments
No, but two mirrors can do.
Ciênsação safety mirrors have just the right thickness to bend a bit. Let your students explore what this means for incident light.
A fun way to teach the concept of optical reflection.
The more serious approach. And an excellent exercise to find and formulate a natural law.
Two mirrors at an acute angle have an almost magical effect on your students' attention.
You will find it when you focus.
Let your students peek into eternity.

Sets
For your information, these are the prices of a single Ciênsação Safety Mirror in different sets:
Personal |
0.917€ |
Small Class Set |
0.654€ |
Regular Class Set |
0.569€ |
In case you prefer a different set size, you can order multiple personal sets – if the overall size exceeds the limits for small or regular class sets, the unit price is automatically adjusted. Please avoid combining different set sizes of the same product, since the system will not be able to adjust unit prices accordingly.
Our primary goal is to put science into the hands of school kids. These prices are therefore optimized for class sets, assuming a regular class size of up to 32 students, working in small groups of 3 students each. To provide 2 mirrors to each of the eleven groups and 2 for you as teacher (or, if needed, as spare parts), the regular class set contains 24 mirrors.
By paying a bit more for a personal set, you help us to offer class sets at a lower price.
